I disagree with calling people fags,but if you’re a real iron and wine fan, you’ll know that Sam Beam writes a lot of love songs. A lot of straight up, no debate love songs. This is not one of them.
Them? Are Twilight Fans some other species? Like… my god. I agree with everyone on how it’s just a song and people can think of it any way they want, but when people start saying it like we’re some other brand of human… it bothers me.
@thedaysleep i think that you should really think before you talk about something you don’t know too well because the reason most people consider this a love song is because this is the song they danced to at prom which was a romantic part in the movie and then they played it again at their wedding which is why they called it wedding version so calm down and stop being rude because i am almost positive that if someone called you a fag for what you like you would be mad so i suggest you stfu
i’ve been listening to the lyrics for the past 2 days and i think i finally understand what this song is about
and it’s not a love song at all…
it’s about a boy who grew up not having much, with those who were blind to see him and he had done many things through his life (the cops) to get to where he’s now standing – “a fat house cat” – but he misses the boy he used to be, he keeps “calling” for that boy, wonders if he has found him or has lost him forever.
@thedaysleep Im not really a Twilight fan, but they danced to this song in the first movie, so it kind of makes sense that they danced to it at their wedding. The song is good and this version is great, If you dont like it dont look the video up. :/
@thedaysleep You are right but the beauty of being a lover of the arts is the ability to interpret lyrics in different ways. Why label a beautiful piece of music one way or the other? The younger generation likes Twilight and good for them for being passionate about something. Why not try to educate in a dignified way to those you call names? No one wants to listen to someone who is insulting them! When and if you attend college, take some advanced art classes! Not being rude. Just a suggestion.
